Nachbeobachtung der Patienten
Eine Nachbeobachtung erfolgt nur bei den
Darmkrebspatienten, nicht jedoch bei
den Vergleichspersonen.
Nach etwa 3 Jahren werden die nachsorgenden Ärzte und Kliniken der
Patienten um
Informationen zur Therapie des Darmkrebs gebeten. Nach 5 und
nach 10
Jahren werden die Patienten in
einem Fragebogen nochmals um Angaben zu ihrer
gesundheitlichen Situation gebeten. Dieser Fragebogen wird per Post
zugesendet.
Zu allen Nachbeobachtungszeitpunkten und bevor
Patientenfragebögen
versendet werden, wird
zudem ein Abgleich der Adresse und des Vitalstatus der
Patienten mit den
Einwohnermelderegistern durchgeführt.

Follow-up
of patients
Follow-up
assessments are conducted among the colorectal cancer patients only,
and not among the control participants. After approximately 3 years we
request information about the therapy of the cancer from the
patients' physicians and hospitals. After 5 and 10
years we send out follow-up questionnaires to the patients to obtain
information
about their health condition.
At
all follow-ups and before sending out questionnaires, we
verify
the address and the vital status of the patients with the population
registries.
